Sleep

slithers away, inconsiderate.
A predator satiated with a sack of meat
flimsy and wry
that is I.


On my back I lie exposed
in dunes of sheets and pillows
waiting to be hunted,
and be chewed and be swallowed.


I wait,
time trickling by


the sand getting in my eyes.

    Do you know the song Sleep by Azure Ray? I know you had the Taken by Cars song in this post but I feel like the Azure Ray song could be a good answer to this post.
